| Q: When I shut down my computer, the power light and the CD ROM light stays on, what should I do? |
| А: | If you have bought our Type R MK II series power supplies (the ones that has USB ports at the back of PSU) you will probably encounter this issue. Known effected motherboards: Asus Striker Extreme, ASUS Blitz Formula SE, ASUS M2N32 SLI Deluxe, Asus Crosshair, Gigabyte GA-X38-DS4, Gigabyte P35C-DS3R, MSI K9N Neo V3 and Abit IP35 Pro.
Type R MK II series power supplies consist of USB module that required an USB cable to be attached on the motherboard. The reason could be the USB module of the PSU is conflicting with the motherboard's +5VSB power. HIPER has already fixed the problem in the current productions. For customer who bought the PSU earlier, the following is a little DIY that should fix the problem:
Step 1. Loosen the fastener by a clip and pull out the red wire.

Step 2. Insert the red wire to the empty slot (from slot 1 to 5).

Note: Removing the red wire will NOT effect the power on each USB port since the USB module is directly powered by the PSU, i.e. each USB port is still fully powered. |

| Q: What if my graphic card requires two PCI-E 6-pin power input while my PSU only have one PCI-E 8-pin and one PCI-E 6-pin? |
| А: | PCI-E 8-pin to 6-pin adaptors are included with every HIPER PSU model that has PCI-E 8-pin connector. You can plug the PCI-E 8-pin connector to the 8-pin receptacle of the adaptor and convert to PCI-E 6pin.

|
| Q: Is it true that warm air may leak back into the case with these perforations? |
| А: | Yes, this is a part of our thermal design and is an acceptable disadvantage. The perforations eliminates the formation of hotspots within the PSU and lowers the temperature by 10% than those without and extending the life of the PSU. This also allows Hiper to use a lower speed fan to enable a quieter operation.

| Q: I bought a video card ATI Radeon™ HD 3870 X2, when I plug the PCI-E 8-pin to the video card's 8-pin receptacle, the 6-pin connector is not long enough to reach the 6-pin receptacle. |
| А: | Please refer to the illustration. 8-pin to 6-pin adaptors are included with every HIPER PSU model that has PCI-E 8-pin connector. Plug the PCI-E 6-pin connector of the PSU to the receptacle of the adaptor so you can extend the length and reach the card's 6-pin receptacle.
