| A: | The location of the warranty label is on the 1st screw above the main cable. In order to entitle for warranty service please make sure the warranty label is intact.

| A: | Both the packaging container and the PSU will have a serial number label.

| Q: My motherboard needs P8 connector but your PSU doesn't provide the P8 connector, what can I do? |
| A: | Server motherboard normally requires EPS12V (i.e. an 8 pin ATX +12V connector a.k.a. P8 connector), however some ATX motherboards also require EPS12V, the reason is because the motherboard supports Intel Pentium 4 Extreme Edition (dual core) CPU as it requires EPS12V. Type R 580W series does not provide 8 pin ATX +12V connector.
You can use HIPER Extender HLC-2M1P-15 to convert two Molex and one P4 into P8 connector.

| Q: I just bought HIPER Type R 580W PSU and notice the P4 connector is not long enough to reach the motherboard, what can I do? |
| A: | This PSU may not be suitable for tower cases, where the PSU is situated at the bottom of the tower case. Known incompatible case: Antec P180. To resolve the P4 connector not being long enough to reach certain motherboards, when the PSU is situated at the bottom of some tower cases, HIPER announces to make changes on the HPU-4K530, HPU-4K580, HPU-4B580, HPU-4M530, HPU-4M580. |

| Q: I have a US version Type-R 580 PSU which is 115V. I would like to know if it will work in Europe where voltage is 220V. |
| A: | Our PSU should have a label at the back of the PSU near the I/O switch that states its acceptable voltage range. For US model it is 100-120V, for EU model it is 195-240V. Please do not use the incorrect model for your area in terms of voltage as it might damage the PSU. HIPER will not be responsible for any damages from misusage regarding using incorrect voltage model. |

| Q: I have a PSU and when a tester is applied to it there is no power coming accross the -5v rail. |
| A: | The -5V rail is removed according to the ATX v2.2 form factor and it's no longer needed. |

| Q: I have a HIPER Type R 580W PSU and I notice when my computer shuts down, the 80mm rear fan is still rotating, is it normal? |
| A: | It's normal, the 80mm rear fan will stay on for a few minutes after shutdown to vacate additional hot air.
Please note that this feature has been removed in later productions of Type R 580W. |

| Q: I bought a graphic card that requires PCI-E 8 pin however my PSU do not have PCI-E 8-pin connector, can I still use it? |
| A: | Please refer to the illustration. Although HIPER recommends to use PSU equips with proper 8-pin connector for these high-power graphic card for full performance, the PCI-E 6-pin connector can still be inserted into the 8-pin receptacle. The 8-pin receptacle is idiot-proof so that the 6-pin can be properly aligned when plugging in leaving 2 pins unoccupied. There is no need for an adaptor to convert 6-pin to 8 pin. The graphic card can detect whether a 8-pin or 6-pin connector is plugged and consumes power accordingly, however any graphics operation and actual display to a connected output device, whether VGA or otherwise, is not guaranteed and is implementation dependent. Please always refer to the graphic card manual for power requirement.
